A Scot and a Theater scenery designer whose love of Egypt shone through like a beacon in every sketch, drawing and painting he undertook.

These pages are a humble tribute to one of the great artist's of the 19th Century.

No one has captured so vividly and in so many ways, the greatness and warmth that is Egypt. From Temples long gone, to the people's who inhabited the land, David Roberts' love of his subject's is as clear and fresh as the day he first painted them.

Thrill not only to Egypt, but the Holy Land too, including the magnificent rock city of Petra.

I hope you will enjoy these pages as much as I've enjoyed creating them, and if this is your first encounter with the great artist, then enjoy as I did when I first discovered his work.
